Robert I. Lesser is Of Counsel to Goetz Fitzpatrick, concentrating on construction and commercial litigation and real estate law.

Robert’s clients include construction contractors, owners, developers, design professionals, business entrepreneurs, and real estate professionals. He participates in the drafting and negotiation of contracts and assisting clients through every aspect of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, offering both business guidance and legal advice.

Prior to joining Goetz Fitzpatrick, Robert served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kings County, New York and practiced in a Manhattan-based law firm. He proceeded to found and co-found his own private law practices, which he ran for 20 years before merging with Goetz Fitzpatrick in 2017.

Robert has written and spoken on various topics, including commercial mortgage foreclosures, loan re-negotiation and workouts, and construction and business contract clauses. He recently had his first book published, a work that seeks to aid small law firms and other service-based professionals in creating, growing, and maintaining a solid base of loyal clients.
