Don is Of Counsel to the Commercial & Real Estate Finance group at Goetz Fitzpatrick. He brings nearly 50 years of experience in bank regulation and related lending operations to the team, advising on loan documentation with a focus on Federal and New York statutes and regulations effecting lending.
Don began his career in the Legal Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His focus was the Federal Reserve regulation of banks and bank holding companies, and Federal Reserve consumer protection regulation.
He later joined the Legal Department of a New York State-chartered commercial bank with assets in the $3-10 billion range. During most of that period, he served as Deputy General Counsel, handling the range of issues facing a bank active in middle-market lending and serving high-net-worth individuals. He was responsible for deposit and other bank product documentation.
